Sir Wayne Smith

Sir Wayne Smith is an icon of New Zealand rugby, having achieved coaching success with the Crusaders, Chiefs, Black Ferns, and All Blacks.

Wayne was affectionately nicknamed ‘The Professor’ in tribute to his smarts and work ethic. He played number 10 for the All Blacks from 1980 to 1985. And when the Black Ferns took the title in 2022, Sir Wayne became the first man to win both the men’s and women’s World Cup as a coach.

Always looking for a new edge, Wayne was the driving force behind bringing modern rugby innovations such as video analysis and mental skills training to NZ.

A master tactician with an obsessive work ethic, he has an impressive reputation for his ability to build deep relationships with his players while still being able to make tough decisions.

Sir Wayne will share some of his experiences from his long career, as well as a few secrets of his success which will help you to engage your own all-star teams. Don’t miss the chance to hear from this legendary coach.
